Ajna Késely won gold medal in the 800-meter freestyle

Ajna Késely won gold medal in the women’s 800-meter freestyle and Richárd Márton won bronze medal in the men’s 400-meter freestyle in the first day of 43rd Arena Junior Swimming Championship in Hódmezővásárhely.

Ajna Késely won gold medal in the women’s 800-meter freestyle and Richárd Márton won bronze medal in the men’s 400-meter freestyle in the first day of 43rd Arena Junior Swimming Championship in Hódmezővásárhely.

The Hungarian Swimming Association told Késely won 800-meter free in the last 100 metres with her big spurt and clocked in at 8:34.37. She finished fourht with relay team in women’s 4x100 meter.

The sixteen year old Márton clocked in at 3:52.01 for third, and the hungarian men’s free relay team finished in 5th place thanks to Márton’s big spurt.

Amongst hungarian competitiors who got into the final, Lili Horváth finished 6th in women’s 400-meter individual medley, Gréta Szilvásy earned 7th place, and Kristóf Milák also finished 7th in men’s 50-meter butterfly.
